Association Funding
Client: National Association of WIC Directors
Challenge: Association wanted to raise non-dues income. This
additional income would support additional staff to expand
member services.
Budget: Variable
Target: Local WIC offices across the country were the target
for the effort. However, the final market served is 7.4
million low income, nutritionally at risk women, infants &
children.
Solution: The association developed a variety of outreach
and nutrition education materials to be purchased by local
WIC agencies through PMG.
Distribution Method: Products were delivered to offices to
be handed out to clients during regular visits.
Results: In 3 years, the association raised over $770,000.

Safety Program
Client: Paper Mill
Challenge: A paper mill had lost-time accidents and
associated costs that exceeded $2,000,000. Their goal was to
bring those costs to $0, saving the company valuable
employee time and corporate expense while creating a
healthier environment.
Budget: Open for discussion
Target: 1500 Employees
Solution: PMG worked with the Safety teams throughout the
mill to create a full scale safety awareness program with
posters and safety meetings, customized goals and "landmark"
recognition for accomplishments such as the "million hours
of safety" goal. In addition, PMG designed a recognition
program that could be administered on-site. This allowed
each employee access to their recognition item within 2 days
of achievement.
Distribution Method: Use of mass distribution at the plant
along with a program for individual items being
selected/handed out on-site.
Results: Lost-time injuries were dramatically reduced. The
company saved over $1,000,000.

Golf Pro Shop
Traffic Builder
Client: Resort/Golf Club
Challenge: To motivate resort guests to visit the golf shop.
The client knew if they could generate additional traffic
from the guests’, then sales of merchandise & golf rounds
would increase.
Budget
- $1.00 for 2000-3000 items
Target
– Resort Guests
Distribution Method – An incentive card was placed in every
room. Each guest was encouraged to bring the card to the
golf pro shop . The card could be redeemed for 1 Free Basin
Harbor logoed item.
Solution – A custom golf bag tag (Sportag) was designed. One
side of the tag had a full color image of the golf course.
The resort’s contact information was printed on the reverse.
The Sportags could be used on guests golf bags, travel bags,
luggage and briefcases.
Results – A significantly higher
percentage of resort guests visited the golf pro shop. The
Sportag was so popular that many guests wanted more than
one. The golf shop now offers the Sportags as a retail item
to all their guests. The client said, "they are selling like
hotcakes".

Challenge:

Association Offices
Solution: PMG
developed several useful and effective products for the Association
members to purchase. A volume-based commission structure was
developed to pay the Association a percentage of the dollars
generated by member purchases.
Distribution
Method: Items were shipped directly to the purchaser.
Results: The
Association raised enough to cover 33% of their budget through this
program.
Gaining New
Clients
Client: The
Times Record (Newspaper Publisher)
Challenge: To
increase a newspaper’s home delivery subscriptions by offering a
premium for each paid 6 month subscription.
Budget: Less
than $13/$14
Target:
Non-Subscribers of the paper in the mid-coast area
Solution: The
Koozie Cooler chair was a unique follow-up item to our customized
4-color beach towel (a successful promotion that had run for 3
previous years). The price of the chairs was comparable.
Distribution
Method: Customers would pick up premium at local newspaper offices
(2).
Results: The
chairs were very popular with over 100 new subscriptions over the 3
month period. The client ordered additional chairs to cover
subscribers who were late to sign up.
More than 100
new subscribers were added during the promotion and soon after. The
value of 100 new subscriptions is $5500.
